An ethical culture is more than just a
“nice to have”, it should be the Holy Grail for any organization seeking to compete and prosper in the modern
world of increasingly complex legal and ethical requirements and expectations. This is particularly true in our technologically
connected environment where actions by a single employee can literally destroy a valuable corporate reputation built over
decades.
We believe that ethics, compliance and governance do not live in a vacuum within an organization.
Integrity and an ethical culture are the foundation on which a successful business:
• creates an engaged and focused management • fosters high-performing,
motivated employees • builds a reputation of trust
and accountability • maintains
a competitive edge
When a company’s approach to ethics and compliance is fully and efficiently integrated
into its operations, working in partnership with other key functions such as legal, human resources, audit, finance and
security, and responsive to the unique reputational, legal and ethical risks of its businesses, overall performance can benefit
enormously. Yet a majority of compliance and ethics breakdowns can be traced to a failure to integrate ethics and compliance
into an organization’s DNA. An ethical culture requires much more than a well-drafted Code of Conduct, an inspiring
CEO speech and a confidential employee hotline. These and other elements of an organization’s program are merely building
blocks on which an ethical culture must be built. Compliance Strategists specializes in practical and efficient solutions tailored to each client’s unique businesses
and risks – whether its program is in the development phase, newly established, or more mature and in need of
refreshment. In particular, we can assist you in strategically structuring your program or its individual elements
to leverage leading best practices, avoid common pitfalls and position you for success in an increasingly transparent,
complex and challenging corporate environment.
